What is the relationship between reading and social justice? How might current strategies for reading promotion be improved? What are the challenges of changing cultures of reading? And, how should reading be positioned within social policy?
This one day colloquium will be an opportunity to address these questions and related issues with attention to the UK context. It will gather policy experts, government representatives, academics and relevant practitioners and professionals. The colloquium is aimed at anyone with a professional interest in social policy, social justice, reading or literacy.
