This exhibition has been assembled with the fire of the sun and the force of dreams beyond the night, and with a vision of art that links our days in the caves to our probable and improbable futures. This inspires me towards painting which hints at a more authentic reality. Shapes and colours that awaken in us unknown states, half familiar, half strange, exist like a kind of flowing hieroglyphics behind our everyday consciousness.
Rosemary Clunie is a painter, printmaker and video artist, born in Scotland, but living in Hampstead. After 10 years of painting with oils, she now enjoys the spontaneity of working on paper with acrylic, pastels or silk collage. She has exhibited widely, from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, to Keats House in London. Her work has many eminent collectors.
