A one day event to celebrate the life and work of James Clerk Maxwell
It will provide an opportunity to reflect on scientific discovery and engagement in the twenty-first century: could someone today have the same impact as Maxwell? What role does the nature of modern celerity play in science engagement? How important is it to remember the individual behind the discovery? Is it the job of the scientist to communicate science publicly? These are just some of the questions that will be approached.
