Cumberland Lodge Visitors' Book

Since 1947 Cumberland Lodge has been a forum in which academics and public intellectuals have met with university students from a range of disciplines.

In our archive, we have records from the earliest days of the foundation. Below is a selection of eminent people who regularly came to Cumberland Lodge in the 50s, 60s and 70s either to discuss their ideas with young people or as students themselves.

You are listening to an interview with an early student visitor to the Foundation discussing the eminent people he met while on academic retreats here.
