A versatile venue for conferences, meetings and special events

Conferences, seminars, retreats, away days... The Lodge offers a beautiful, historic environment to host any meeting. It is easily accessible from London and from the world, given the proximity of Heathrow airport. Cumberland Lodge can accommodate many different kinds of event: fully residential conferences, half-day seminars or special occasions such as weddings.

Repeat Business

We ask our visitors what brings them back to the Lodge and they say it is a combination of three things: A calm and reflective atmosphere conducive to good discussion; The historic surroundings and green environment; The superb food from talented chefs and friendly staff who run the Lodge as a home rather than a hotel

A Unique Atmosphere

The Lodge is not run for profit and does not have any share holders. The Foundation is charged under Royal Warrant with ensuring that the special tone of Cumberland Lodge remains unique. We are entrusted with these handsome buildings so that conversations, formal and informal, may take place which will each in their way contribute to the betterment of society. Our interpretation of that mission, in which the world of higher education will always be pivotal but not exclusive, is generous and wide-ranging. It ensures, however, that coming to the Lodge remains a privilege and hopefully an experience that our guests will remember all their lives
