Dr Rowena Bermingham works in the Government Office for Science (GO-Science). Her role involves coordinating the use of science advice and evidence relating to COVID-19 across HM Government. Prior to this she spent three years as a Social Sciences Adviser in the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST) in UK Parliament where she produced briefings on a wide variety of topics. She also supervised others in producing briefings, trained Parliamentary staff in the use of research evidence and led research projects to support Parliamentary scrutiny. Before moving into science policy, she completed a PhD in psycholinguistics at the University of Cambridge and previously worked in educational fundraising.
