Sean O'Neill is chief reporter for The Times and was the newspaper's crime and security editor from 2007-15 covering policing, terrorism and home affairs issues.

He began his career in journalism in Northern Ireland in the 1980s and worked for the Daily Telegraph before joining The Times in 2004.

Sean was named News Reporter of the Year in 2019 for his investigation into Oxfam's cover up of sexual abuse by aid workers in Haiti.
