The staff of Cumberland Lodge raised £1,500 for Epilepsy Research UK this week, through a charity pub quiz organised by our Sales and Marketing Manager, Matthew Hancock.

The quiz was held in the Cumberland Room here at Cumberland Lodge, on Tuesday 8 November. Nine teams of six took part and there was a raffle and charity auction.

Our Head Chef, Robert Szewczyk, served up a hearty meal for the participants.

'Important cause'

Matthew said: “The quiz was a great opportunity to get together after work with colleagues and members of their families, to enjoy each other’s company, challenge the grey matter, and raise lots of money for a really important cause.

“We’re looking forward to raising more money for good causes during our 70th anniversary year in 2017.”

Epilepsy Research UK supports scientific research into the causes, treatments and prevention of epilepsy.
