Dr Liam Berriman is a Lecturer in Childhood and Youth Studies in the Department of Social Work at the University of Sussex. His research focuses on the digital lives of children and young people and has recently focused on how children and families make sense of digital data in their everyday lives.
He is core member of the University of Sussex’s Humanities Lab, a £3 million funded programme of research into the digital transformation of culture and society. He is also the convenor of the British Sociological Association’s Childhood research network.
Liam has published extensively on children and young people’s digital lives, and has recently co-authored a book with Prof Rachel Thomson and Dr Sara Bragg titled Researching Everyday Childhoods: Time, Technology & Documentation in a Digital Age which is published as an open access eBook by Bloomsbury: http://dx.doi.org/10.5040/9781350011779
