Marceline is an undergraduate student in Economics & Management at the University of Oxford. She was the highest-scoring student in the Netherlands in 2016, and did courses in Italian and Religious anthropology in school before coming to the UK for higher education.

As President of the Oxford Economics Society she hopes to introduce students to new perspectives on and from the field and stimulate them to think of their discipline more in relationship to the real world and with awareness of its responsibility for it.

With the Oxford European Forum, which she co-founded, she aims to stimulate constructive discussion among students on the European Union and its (mal)functioning, as a remedy against repetition of (sometimes unfounded) old arguments.

To unwind, she loves train-travelling, gardening and making/listening to music. She is a volunteer at the University’s Botanic gardens and previously had her own radio show, Raw Power, at the student radio station.
