Rev Dr Richard Sudworth is Secretary for Inter Religious Affairs to the Archbishop of Canterbury & National Inter Religious Affairs Adviser for the Church of England. Before taking up his post in September 2018, he was a parish priest in inner city Birmingham.
Richard is the author of Encountering Islam: Christian-Muslim Relations in the Public Square, and Distinctly Welcoming: Christian Presence in a Multifaith Society.
His doctoral studies at the University of London were on Anglican political theology and Christian-Muslim Relations, and he has been involved in teaching trainee priests on Christian-Jewish relations and contributed to several studies on this subject in recent years.
