Shabira is a thought leader in the community development, diversity and inequalities space, with extensive experience of working alongside grassroots communities in Australia and the UK.

Working to tackle health inequity, Shabira has advised local authorities, health systems, government bodies, service providers, commissioners and charities on how to build representative public engagement, with a focus on pragmatism and impact.

Shabira is a global citizen, an inventor, creator, designer, a mother; with roots in Mozambique and India, born in Portugal, grew up in Australia and living in London since 2001. This diaspora has influenced her practice and has fuelled her passion for the need of seldom heard communities to be at the heart of decision making across systems particularly in regard to addressing inequity. She has a strong track record of designing & implement innovations that drive diversity and reach.
