On Wednesday 31 May 2017, Lord Finkelstein, executive editor and political columnist for The Times, delivered his lecture on 'The Arrow of History?', which was introduced by our Chair of Trustees, Sir Stephen Wall.

Lord Finkelstein spoke for 40 minutes on the changing political and socio-economic compass of the world around us, both here in the UK and across Europe and North America.

He also gave his views on the shifting balance of power in society, and the roles of religion, technology and environmental change, with a few bonus insights into the state of the football Premier League!

His talk was followed by half and hour or wide-ranging questions from members of the invited audience.
