Cumberland Lodge is delighted to announce that the Rt Hon Baroness (Usha) Prashar of Runnymede, CBE will succeed Sir Stephen Wall when he steps down as Chair of Trustees in early 2019.

Baroness Prashar has a long association with Cumberland Lodge. As well as contributing to many of its conferences on pressing societal issues, she served on its academic advisory committee, was a trustee for 10 years and is currently the Patron of the Friends of Cumberland Lodge.

Apart from knowing Cumberland Lodge well, her experience in public life and her leadership skills, honed in the voluntary sector, will be invaluable as we continue to expand and develop our work addressing some of the most pressing issues in society. At a personal level, I’m greatly looking forward to working closely with Baroness Prashar at what is an exciting time for Cumberland Lodge.’

Baroness Prashar says, ‘I am delighted that I have been given the opportunity to make a contribution to the excellent work which Cumberland Lodge does and look forward to working with the Trustees, Ed Newell and the staff to further enhance its impact in these challenging but exciting times.’
