Cumberland Lodge is launching a new monthly webinar series, Dialogue & Debate, in 2020.

Guest contributors to the inaugural broadcast will be Dr Rowan Williams, Master of Magdalene College, Cambridge and former Archbishop of Canterbury, and Sophie Deen, founder and Chief Executive of Bright Little Labs, the children's media company.

Dialogue & Debate will bring 40-minute conversations on topical issues relating to our work to a public audience online, via desktop or mobile. The webinars will be informal and interactive, with audience members online encouraged to participate in live polls and submit questions to the panellists.

Inaugural webinar

Our webinars will be broadcast from Cumberland Lodge during the first week of every month, starting at 11am on 3 January 2020, with a discussion on 'The Art of Reflection in a Digital World'.

In our first webinar, we will be exploring how we can help children and young people, in particular, to reflect and think more deeply about the big issues facing society, in a fast-paced digital world.

Helen Taylor, Press & Communications Director at Cumberland Lodge, said: 'This is an exciting new way of taking the Cumberland Lodge model to a wider audience online, and we look forward to reaching many more people by taking our discussions directly to peoples' screens.

'It was important to us that we incorporated an interactive element to the format, to allow people to engage directly with our guest panellists and be very much a part of the conversation.

'We hope that these webinars will inspire further discussion on the topics we address, and encourage more people to get involved in our wider series of conferences, panel debates and retreats.'

They will be available to watch live via our homepage, the 'What's On' section of our website, Vimeo, or our Facebook page.
