In December 2019, we convened a youth symposium on 'Commonwealth Futures: Youth Perspectives', in partnership with the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), the Commonwealth Secretariat and the British Council.
With a particular focus on ICT and innovation, and the Rule of Law, it gave gave young people a platform to generate and present innovative ideas and recommendations for future projects across the Commonwealth, in response to the fact that more than 60% of Commonwealth citizens are now aged under 30. It also involved members of the Commonwealth Youth-led Taskforce who were preparing for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting that was due to take place in Rwanda in June 2020.
