A recording of the Cumberland Conversation with documentary filmmaker, photographer and journalist Sue Carpenter, live-streamed from the green-screen studio at Cumberland Lodge on Thursday 13 May.

Sue talks to our Chief Executive, Ed Newell, about her experiences of working with disadvantaged women and girls in Nepal and her work as director of Tideturner Films, which makes independent documentaries about social injustice, particularly in terms of women’s rights, including her acclaimed new short film, I Am Belmaya. You can find out more about her work here.

This Conversation was held online, due to pandemic restrictions, with questions from our live audience joining on Zoom. An audio-only recording will be added to this page shortly.
