The trailer was commissioned in our 70th anniversary year, on the story behind Amy Buller's groundbreaking 1943 book, Darkness over Germany.
It features excerpts from interviews with:
- Professor Kurt Barling - Professor of Journalism at Middlesex University London and author of the foreword to the 2017 edition, Darkness over Germany: A Warning from History
- Jane Furniss - Trustee of Cumberland Lodge, Deputy Chair of Crisis, a non-executive Director of the National Crime Agency, and Senior Independent Director of the Solicitors Regulation Authority
- Katherine O'Lone - Amy Buller PhD Scholar at Cumberland Lodge, and PhD student at Royal Holloway London.
It was the original editon of Darkness over Germany that attracted the attention of Queen Elizabeth (The Queen Mother) and led to King George VI and Queen Elizabeth granting us the use of Cumberland Lodge in Windsor Great Park, for a new kind of educational foundation that would help to ensure that what happened in Germany in the 1930s was never repeated.
