Jack Parsons, one of our Cumberland Lodge Scholars, spoke to Sherry Peck (Chief Executive of Safer London) and Junior Smart (Head of the Gangs SOS project at the St Giles Trust) about their thoughts on discussions at our Understanding and Policing Gangs conference held in June 2019. This recording was made partway during the event, on the morning of Saturday 22 June.

Sherry and Junior both introduce their work, before discussing their key take-aways from the conference, and their hopes for the impact it might have on policy and practice, going forward. They talk about changing narratives around gangs and the exploitation of young people in Britain, and about hopes for improved partnership working and policy change around gang culture.
