Cumberland Lodge is renowned for the quality of its dining experience, its beautiful rooms steeped in history, and its excellent hospitality.
The Cumberland Room at Cumberland Lodge

We offer three main dining spaces - the Cumberland Room, Prince Christian Room and Princess Helena Room - each with a distinct atmosphere.

There is also the option of opening up two of the rooms for larger events, to create a single dining space for up to 100 people.

We recently invested in stylish new, solid oak dining furniture. During the summer months, our main lawn is a popular choice for dining al fresco.

For details of upcoming fine dining opportunities, which are helping to support our charitable work during the pandemic, please visit the What's On pages of this website.

Cumberland Lodge has 56 individually appointed bedrooms with a maximum capacity of 95 overnight guests. Together, they reflect every major period of English architecture since the Lodge was first built in 1652.

Our bedrooms are spread across three historic buildings and can be made up for single, double or twin occupancy, depending on your requirements.

We have 33 en suite bedrooms in the main Lodge building, 16 en suite rooms in the Georgian Mews next door,  and seven en suite rooms in Groom’s House.

We can accommodate people with special mobility needs in two spacious bedrooms in the main Lodge, with bathrooms adapted for easy access. There is also an adjacent room available for a carer.

Dining is an important part of the Cumberland Lodge experience. We pride ourselves on our locally sourced produce and mouth-watering menus, lovingly created by our head chef.

We are only too happy to work with you on bespoke menus that are tailored to your needs and dietary requirements.
