Join us for an evening of magical music with the acclaimed folk singer-songwriter Ana Silvera, who will be performing an intimate set live in The Vaults of Cumberland Lodge.
This Christmas fundraising concert will feature works from Ana's debut album The Aviary (2012), which The Guardian described as 'a stunning album' of 'magical storytelling', and more recent works from her 2018 album Oracles, was listed in The Guardian's 'Best of 2018 Critics Pick'. Oracles was described by Alex Preson on BBC Radio 4 as: 'Some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard... intelligent, lyrically complex and interesting... just absolutely wonderful'.
Ana has performed all over the world and worked on social justice projects, including a collaboration with the London-based organisation Freedom from Torture, with whom she created new music with people affected by experiences of torture, and a composition project with the Ice & Fire Theatre Company, telling the story of the Yemeni diaspora.
Speaking about the concert, Ana said, 'I'm really excited to play a special winter concert in such an intimate setting, and I can't wait to play in such a beautiful and inspiring place'.
Ana will be performing two, 45-minute sets. Doors open at 7pm and the concert will start at 7.30pm.
