All welcome
The Wrestling Trees by Sally Anne and Peter Jones

Join us on Saturday 15 February 2020 to discover the vibrant paintings of talented local couple, Sally Anne and Peter Jones.

'For Love in Creation' is a collection of works inspired by the landscapes of Windsor Great Park. All the paintings on display are available to purchase.

About the artists

Sally Anne Wake-Jones studied art at London University College of Education.  She had her first solo exhibition at the Century Gallery, Henley and has exhibited her paintings in galleries in the South East.  Her work is featured in four editions of the French publication R.E.G.A.R.D.S. She divides her time between her art and the family business, Guinea Pig Education, which sells educational material all over the world.Sally Anne, and husband Peter, a chartered surveyor by profession, share a love of the natural environment. For the last three years, they have been working together on canvases, to create a unique collection of paintings that portray the historic parkland the surrounds Cumberland Lodge.

Their paintings are large, spontaneous statements, infused with light, and inspired by the beauty of Creation. The couple are frequent visitors to the South of France, and the intense light of that region influences their bold use of colour.

Sally Anne said, 'Our paintings express our worship and praise to our Creator. They depict symbols such as the forms of ancient oaks (symbolic of divine providence), the cycle of life and decay, and the flat, wide landscape that rolls on like the ever-changing seasons. We are excited and honoured to be able to exhibit in such a beautiful and prestigious location and welcome everyone to come and share our journey'.
