Congratulations to our award-winning Head Chef, Rob Szewczyk, who has been made an MVO in the King’s Birthday Honours List 2025.
In over 40 years of service at Cumberland Lodge, he’s been responsible for producing more than 2.5 million meals, cooking for everyone from university students and trainee doctors to members of the Royal Family, Prime Ministers, and global leaders.
During the COVID-19 lockdowns he and our kitchen team worked with the Crown Estate to help prepare hundreds of takeaway meals for elderly and vulnerable residents.
An MVO is a Member of the Victorian Order, a British order of knighthood recognising personal service to the British monarch or Royal Family.
