Why is Cumberland Lodge known as a ‘low-tech’ country retreat?

Cumberland Lodge is renowned as an inspiring venue that stimulates open dialogue and creative thinking. We encourage guests to take a break from mobile devices and televisions during their stay, and to enjoy the time and space to reflect, regroup, and relax with colleagues and fellow event participants.

Our extensive parkland surroundings help you ‘get away from it all’ and re-energise, whilst our buildings and facilities offer a range of relevant technologies to ensure that interaction and virtual participation are available in all conference sessions and meetings.

Is there free WiFi?

Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the site.

Is there car parking?

There is ample free parking at the front of the main Lodge, including spaces reserved for Blue Badge holders by the front door, and a smaller number of spaces outside The Mews Conference Centre. Unfortunately, we cannot currently offer EV charging facilities.

Have you got any facilities for babies and toddlers?

We have family-friendly rooms that can accommodate babies and toddlers; please speak to your group organiser first, or contact our Meetings & Events team to find out more. We have highchairs in our dining rooms and there are baby-changing facilities within the accessible bathroom on the ground floor of the Lodge.

Can I stay the night before or after my conference?

You may be able to, depending on our availability, during weekdays. Please contact us in advance for more information.
