A cross-sector gathering of speakers and delegates met at Cumberland Lodge from 17-19 June for our Legitimacy & Confidence in Policing Conference.

The event was the 40th in our annual Police Conference series and included senior police officers, academics, policymakers, and practitioners.

Together they considered policing diversity, the police response to COVID-19, and how well the police are doing when it comes to confidence and legitimacy, among other topics.

Key themes of discussion and cross-sector recommendations from this conference will be presented in Autumn 2022 in a Cumberland Lodge Report, written by our independent Research Associate Kathryn Farrow.
