David Isaac CBE joined the Cumberland Lodge Board of Trustees in January 2023. He is the Provost at Worcester College, Oxford, Chair of the Governors of University of the Arts London, and Chair of the Henry Moore Foundation.
Throughout his career David has also been involved in many activities in the arts, human rights and education. He is the former Chair of the Equalities and Human Rights Commission of Great Britain, of Stonewall and of Modern Art Oxford. He was also a director of the Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, the Human Dignity Trust, the Big Lottery and 14-18 NOW.
For many years David was a partner in Pinsent Masons LLP, where he held a number of senior positions. He was awarded a CBE in the 2011 Queen’s Birthday Honours list for services to equality and diversity.
In December 2025 it was announced that David was to be conferred with a Life Peerage by His Majesty the King, and will sit in the House of Lords as a Labour peer.
