Pauline is a French-British film director and producer exploring nationalism, identity, and belonging through politically engaged storytelling. She runs Aral Sea Productions, creating films across documentary, animation, archive, and XR.
Her current feature, Big in Gazi Baba, co-produced with Al Jazeera Balkans, has received major awards including the Cannes Docs Marché du Film and Eurodoc Award. She is also directing What You Remember, an archive-led feature on memory politics in Skopje.
Alongside filmmaking, Pauline pursues a PhD on urban belonging in North Macedonia. She is a Cumberland Lodge Fellow, seeking to create meaningful impact and change through her filmmaking
