Our seminar rooms are spread across all three of our buildings – the 17th century country house that is Cumberland Lodge itself, the former stables and servant quarters now transformed into the Mews Conference Centre and the Groom’s House, a self-contained Georgian house with its own rooms, service/kitchen area, bedrooms and private garden. Whether it’s a cosy sitting room, a historic chapel, a versatile open-plan room, an academic library or a fully equipped conference space, you’ll find a seminar room to hire. Our rooms can host between eight and 100 guests and can be set up in a wide range of seat and table layouts, from empty spaces to cabaret-style circular tables to a formal boardroom arrangement.
One of our more unusual spaces that can be provided as seminar rooms to hire is the Vaults. This is a leisure and entertainment suite in the basement of Cumberland Lodge. The main entertainment room can host up to 90 people when fully furnished and is equipped with a projector and sound system (and disco lighting). There is also an adjacent relaxation space with chairs, coffee tables, a wall-mounted television and pool, table tennis and table football. This makes for an informal but effective space for seminars on creative or media subjects, or as a change from a more business-like event during the day.
In the Lodge itself, we also have several rooms dedicated to socialisation and relaxation. Our historic Drawing Room is exactly what you’d expect to see in a classic English country house, with elegant décor, antique furniture, portraits of people from Cumberland Lodge’s history and even a grand piano. For a small seminar room with a more intimate feel, the Sitting Room is available. These rooms can also be perfect for a reception to welcome people to your event, holding a light meal or tea break during your programme or mingling before dinner.
If you require a library seminar room – ideal for an academic event – then we have the Amy Buller library, named after our founder and able to host b25 people in a board meeting layout.. This is a working library that also boasts period décor and glorious views over the Lodge lawns and Windsor Great Park.

Hire a seminar room with accommodation and dining
When you book a seminar room at Cumberland Lodge, you can get far more than just the one space. We can provide overnight accommodation for up to 90 guests, in 58 en-suite rooms located in both the Lodge itself and within the Mews Conference Centre. Two of these rooms are accessible for those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility. So, if your guests are travelling long distances or long hours, your seminar runs late into the evening, or even if it runs across multiple days, they have somewhere to rest and recharge. They don’t have to leave the venue and you, the organiser, don’t have to worry about the logistics of getting people to and from your event.
Cumberland Lodge also boasts an in-house team of chefs who can put together bespoke menus to suit any occasion and taste. And we have three dining rooms of different sizes and characters, from the grand 100-seat Cumberland Dining Room to the more domestic Princess Helena Dining Room for 16 people.
