Cumberland Lodge offers a unique blend of history, natural beauty and state-of-the-art facilities. These make it an exceptional venue for all kinds of events – not just seminars, but meetings, conferences, retreats and special events. For over 70 years, Cumberland Lodge has been a space for people to meet and share ideas. Don’t settle for generic corporate seminar venues: Here’s why Cumberland Lodge makes the perfect seminar venue for your next event.
Stunning location and inspiring surroundings
Cumberland Lodge is just 27 miles from central London and close to major motorways (the M25, M4 and M3). Heathrow Airport is nearby, making it easily accessible by road, rail, or air. For those arriving by train, the nearest station is Egham, just a short taxi ride away. Cumberland Lodge can be reached from all over the country or even further afield.
Yet this easy access is combined with a tranquil setting in Windsor Great Park. Our 17th-century country house is surrounded by landscaped gardens and parkland. This provides the perfect environment for a seminar. Attendees can disconnect from daily life and engage with the event at hand. Even among other country house seminar venues, Cumberland Lodge offers something unique.

Historic and versatile seminar spaces
Cumberland Lodge’s rich history adds a unique charm to any corporate event. The main house offers several historic meeting spaces of generous size. These offer sweeping views of the surrounding parkland. Nearby are the Drawing Room and Sitting Room. Our meeting rooms provide both traditional heritage and modern functionality. This makes them the ideal seminar venue for gatherings large or small.
For larger seminars, the Mews Conference Centre will have the ideal space. These buildings were once the home of Eclipse, one of history’s greatest racehorses. Now they are a fully modernised conference centre, able to host events of almost any type or size. There are three main seminar rooms. The largest of these, Flitcroft, can host up to 100 guests, while Sandby and Hodgson can seat 50 and 32, respectively. Like all our rooms, the seating and table arrangements can be changed to suit your specific requirements. There are also smaller breakout rooms, offering flexibility for workshops or group discussions.
The Groom’s House offers two more meeting rooms. There is also a relaxed sitting room for informal sessions or breakout spaces. The Groom’s House has its own kitchen/service area, seven en-suite bedrooms and a private garden. This all makes for a fully-equipped and self-contained event venue for a seminar with a select number of attendees or consisting of several small working groups.

Accommodation and dining options
Cumberland Lodge is ideal for residential seminars. We can accommodate up to 95 guests across 58 en-suite bedrooms.
. Organisers of multi-day events don’t have to worry about booking off-site accommodation. Neither do they have to arrange transport for their people to and from the seminar venue each day. Whether you’re after a business seminar venue or somewhere to host a multi-day charity or academic seminar, Cumberland Lodge is the ideal place.
Dining at Cumberland Lodge is an experience in itself. There are three historic dining rooms within the main Lodge, the largest of which seats up to 90 guests. A seminar meal, a networking event or an informal gathering – we can provide the catering to suit.
Cumberland Lodge is all about conversation and connection. We encourage our guests to disconnect from modern technology and the online world.

Cutting-edge technology and versatile spaces
We’re proud that Cumberland Lodge offers a serene escape from daily distractions. But it is also equipped with all the modern technology you could look for in a seminar venue. It has everything needed to host a successful seminar or meeting. Full audio-visual support is available in all meeting spaces. This includes facilities for hybrid or live-streamed events. The main seminar room, Flitcroft, has a hearing loop, ensuring that all guests can take part in your event.
Cumberland Lodge’s meeting spaces allow for different configurations to suit your specific needs. From traditional seminar rooms to an outdoor woodland seminar space, we can offer a room for you. Whether it’s a large seminar, a formal meeting, an intimate discussion or a creative getaway, we can offer you the ideal space.

A focus on wellbeing and creative thinking
Cumberland Lodge is founded on fostering open dialogue, creativity and well-being. These values make it an ideal place to hold your seminar event. The venue encourages attendees to take a break from mobile devices and television. This allows them the space to focus on their seminar, network with colleagues and rejuvenate. The serene grounds and surroundings provide ample opportunities for walks and outdoor activities. In our experience, these help guests to get away from it all. This means they can return to their work with renewed energy and clarity of thought.
The ideal seminar venue is more than just meeting rooms. At Cumberland Lodge our guests can make the most of one of the best country house seminar venues. Our historic Drawing Room, Sitting Room and Tapestry Hall are perfect for socialising, conversing and relaxing between events or at the end of the day. When the weather allows, there’s the terrace and the lawn. Under the Lodge, The Vaults is a fully-equipped entertainment space with a movie projector and disco lighting – not only great for media-related lectures or discussions, but perfect for hosting an evening party or social.
